Congratulations to this Week’s Champions of Care!
This program is designed to recognize employees who go above and beyond their day-to-day duties, and who exemplify Circle of Care’s values.
Note: New nominations will be posted on Mondays.
Nominations can be submitted in one of two ways:
- Clients/Family Members: Compliments from clients or family members that are received through the call centre or a manager will be entered as a nomination provided there is enough detail to do so.
- Managers: A manager can recognize someone for one of the following reasons:
- Recognizing that an employee has taken initiative to support, assist or lead a project or difficult task.
- The employee has made an extra effort was reflected in their overall performance.
- The person has actively demonstrated one of Circle of Care’s values.
“After helping us out by picking up a last-minute addition to her schedule, iRIDE driver Donna Brazeau arrived at the Wilson Garage and checked her vehicle at the end of her shift. Upon cleaning, she came across a brown wallet. Donna immediately called the office and gave me the details of the rightful owner. I called the client, who was shocked that she had lost her wallet. Donna drove to the client’s home to return the wallet to her. Our client was extremely ecstatic and expressed that Circle of Care has the best drivers. Thank you Donna for going above and beyond the call of duty.”
“I feel privileged to nominate my colleague, Valentina Burman as a true champion. I received a call from a Russian speaking client. She praises Valentina for her professionalism and for always promptly returning her calls. Most of all, she is thankful for finding her a perfect match: she states that Valentina went out of her way to find a PSW who speaks her mother tongue, who she can communicate well with, and who works well with her. On a personal note, I’ve had a pleasure of working with Valentina for over 10 years. Every time I approach her desk she greets me with a warm smile and a funny story or an anecdote. Her positive and welcoming attitude, no matter how challenging the day has been, combined with her colourful personality always put me in a better frame of mind. And for that – I consider her a great colleague and a true champion as well.”
“I am very grateful for the help that I received from Circle of Care. I needed a number of rides to get to my physiotherapy sessions and asked the Holocaust department to assist with that. Kyla Lipsman was very kind to increase my rides and make it happen. Thank you very much for the transportation department for being very supportive. I am telling everyone about Circle of Care and about the wonderful and dedicated people who work for you!”
“iRIDE driver Soula Berdoussis is very thoughtful and attentive to client needs. She meets me, sees me off, and helps me in and out of the vehicle with a good attitude. One day when I was very weak because my blood sugar levels had drop down, Soula noticed it and offered me a candy/fruits to help me raise my sugar level, so that I would feel better. ”
