Congratulations to this Week’s Champions of Care!

This program is designed to recognize employees who go above and beyond their day-to-day duties, and who exemplify Circle of Care’s values.

Note: New nominations will be posted on Mondays.

Nominations can be submitted in one of two ways:

  • Managers: A manager can recognize someone for one of the following reasons:

  2. The employee has made an extra effort was reflected in their overall performance.
  3. The person has actively demonstrated one of Circle of Care’s values.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the Kosher Meals on Wheels staff and especially Angelika Vasilivetsky for her hard work and professionalism working with elderly clients. I’m so thankful that Circle of Care is helping people to live independently. My life is made much easier thanks to coordinators like Angelika. She has such a positive and caring attitude!”

“While driving to work one morning PSW Cecilia Katantkatang noticed one of our clients walking close by the Day Program holding onto the wall for support. She quickly called the ADP and Liezel Dayrit ran to assist our client. Both Cecilia and Liezel are to be commended for their quick action in saving our client who had wandered away from home in the early morning. The family were very thankful that our staff helped their mother!”

“A big thank you to Norman Zuckerman for taking the extra effort to restore client rides. He corrected a mistake from our client’s spouse, when they pressed the wrong button on their phone. The couple is very grateful!”

“I would like to express a huge thank you to Debra McLellan for helping to arrange services for me. Thanks to Debra’s help, I was able to have support in getting to a crucial medical procedure. If it wasn’t for Debra’s support, this would not have been possible. I am so very, very grateful.”

– Client

“Thank you to Rachel Quinby, who pro-actively anticipated a billing error, and for Beata McLeod and Mark Dela Cruz, for taking extra time on a Friday afternoon to resolve the issue. Because of their great work, we will be able to the use the amount saved from this error for other Holocaust Survivor Program clients who require care.”

“William Saldarriaga has taken the lead in organizing Let’s Get Together events. In the last few months he has taken groups to the ROM, AGO, Botanical Gardens and Toronto Symphony. Upcoming events include the Don Jail/Bridgepoint, Distillery district in December and more ROM and AGO trips. William works very hard to ensure all clients from LGT receive invitations to attend and are well taken care of during the events. A special thank you goes out to William for his dedication and compassion he shows to our LGT clients!”
