{"id":3278,"date":"2020-04-02T15:21:39","date_gmt":"2020-04-02T15:21:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psw.circleofcare.com\/?p=3278"},"modified":"2020-04-27T17:19:47","modified_gmt":"2020-04-27T17:19:47","slug":"memo-mask-use","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psw.circleofcare.com\/index.php\/2020\/04\/02\/memo-mask-use\/","title":{"rendered":"Memo: Mask Use"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Use of Masks When Providing Care<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>What is happening? <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Due to a global shortage of masks, we will be following Ontario Health general guidelines when using surgical\/procedural masks in an effort to conserve our supply.<\/li>\n<li>You may receive either a surgical mask or an N95 mask.\u00a0 Both can be used when providing patient care, depending on what we have in stock.<\/li>\n<li>You can wear a mask for multiple clients unless it becomes wet, damaged, soiled. At this point, it should immediately be disposed<\/li>\n<li>Masks can be stored between visits in a paper bag or an envelope \u2013 no plastic bags.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>What does this mean for you?<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PSWs must use only a Circle of Care issued mask when performing client care.\u00a0<strong>Homemade masks should never be used when providing personal care.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Use of Masks When Providing Care What is happening?
