{"id":9417,"date":"2024-08-15T13:21:29","date_gmt":"2024-08-15T13:21:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psw.circleofcare.com\/?p=9417"},"modified":"2024-08-15T13:21:29","modified_gmt":"2024-08-15T13:21:29","slug":"indigenous-cultural-competency-in-healthcare-e-learning-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psw.circleofcare.com\/index.php\/2024\/08\/15\/indigenous-cultural-competency-in-healthcare-e-learning-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Indigenous Cultural Competency in Healthcare e-learning"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"TypographyPresentation TypographyPresentation--m RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph\">This is a reminder to all PSWs and Homemakers that you must complete the\u00a0<strong>Indigenous Cultural Competency in Healthcare<\/strong> Dayforce e-learning module.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><space><\/p>\n<div class=\"TypographyPresentation TypographyPresentation--m RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph\">This training is a mandatory requirement for all Service Provider Organizations under Ontario Health, and as such, we have put together this e-learning module to build capacity and foster knowledge of Indigenous Culture across our agency.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"TypographyPresentation TypographyPresentation--m RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph\">We are asking you all to complete this <strong>mandatory<\/strong> <strong>30 minute e-learning module<\/strong> through Dayforce that is focused on increasing awareness of historical and current Indigenous culture and the implications for health care professionals by <strong>September 20, 2024.<\/strong> The course will be accessible by logging into Dayforce and selecting the \u2018Learning Tab\u2019.<\/div>\n<p><space><\/p>\n<div class=\"TypographyPresentation TypographyPresentation--m RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph\">The goals of this course are to:<\/div>\n<div class=\"TypographyPresentation TypographyPresentation--m RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph\">\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Explore the impact of racism within the healthcare system<\/div>\n<div class=\"TypographyPresentation TypographyPresentation--m RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph\">\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Examine the experiences of Indigenous people in healthcare<\/div>\n<div class=\"TypographyPresentation TypographyPresentation--m RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph\">\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Comprehend Canada\u2019s multicultural context in healthcare<\/div>\n<div class=\"TypographyPresentation TypographyPresentation--m RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph\">\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Investigate historical aspects such as Residential Schools and the Survivors Flag<\/div>\n<div class=\"TypographyPresentation TypographyPresentation--m RichText3-paragraph--withVSpacingNormal RichText3-paragraph\">\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Understand the significance of Indigenous Truth &amp;
