Reminders & Announcements

Important Reminder: Stay Home If Sick

"woman sick at home blowing nose into tissue"

Please stay home if you feel unwell. If you have symptoms such as coughing, fever, sneezing, or a runny nose, notify your Supervisor or Manager and do not come to work.

Staying home when sick helps:
  • Prevent the spread of illnesses like the flu and COVID-19.
  • Protect vulnerable colleagues who may be at higher risk.
  • Maintain productivity as sick employees often struggle to perform effectively.

Need health advice? Ontario offers free and confidential support through Health811 where you can connect with a registered nurse 24/7 and get health advice day or night.

Use Health811’s online assessment tool to learn more about what symptoms you’re experiencing and get advice on next steps.
By staying home when sick, you can protect yourselves and your colleagues.

Speak Up for Safety

"vector illustration of people holding each other"

If you feel that something is not safe to do, then please report your concerns to your CSS. Whether it’s about equipment, client mobility, or the Care Plan, we can address these concerns together—but only if you speak up.

Your voice can prevent injuries and improve care. Let’s look out for one another.

Please take some time to review the No Lift policy below.

Using Person-Centred Language with Clients

When you are working with your clients, it is important to be aware of the language that you are using with them. When speaking to clients, you want to make sure that you are using Person-Centred Language (PCL).

You should:

  • Speak without judgement or bias
  • Be specific
  • Be respectful to the client at all times

Watch the video to learn more. Let’s work together to promote a respectful and safe environment through Person-Centred Language.

Ask Us Anything

What are the requirements for accepting a worker at Circle of Care? I have referred 3 of my friends to apply at our company. They are certified PSWs and have good work experience, but HR didn’t call them and didn’t hire them.

All of the requirements are listed within the job description on Circle of Care’s website. We consider a lot of different factors when selecting which candidates to proceed with, including geography and availability requirements. However, our needs change on a regular basis. If candidates do not hear back because they aren’t selected the first time, they are encouraged to re-apply and their application will be reassessed by the team. Our updated job description can be found on our careers page:

I’m receiving very few hours.

We understand that schedule changes can be unpredictable. Please contact your Service Coordinator if you are experiencing ongoing hours that are well beneath your availability so they can review this for you.

Have a question? Submit your questions or feedback anonymously below!

Please note that it may take us longer to provide some answers. If your question hasn’t been answered yet, we will get back to you as soon as we can.
