We invite you to participate in GoodLife’s National Virtual Wellness day on Thursday November 19th!
This event is free for all staff. To participate you will need to register in advanced by clicking on the name of the session(s) which you would like to attend below. Please ensure in advance that the sessions fit into your schedule. Sessions are scheduled throughout the day and focus on a variety of well-being topics. You can log in from anywhere that you have an internet connection.
8:00 – 8:45am – Fitness Class – Boot Camp. Facilitated by Kareem El-Sayed. Rise & shine: high intensity interval training, combining cardio, strength training and athletic conditioning.
10:00 – 11:00am – Wellness Workshop: Mind Health: Building Mental Resilience. Facilitated by Dr. Ian Koo. You never know what life will throw your way. Resilience is the capacity to adapt or recover in the face of adversity. Explore 12 techniques to develop mental fitness.
11:45am – 12:30pm – Fitness Class: Social DisDance. Facilitated by Michelle Ryder. Perfect for all levels of fitness: a fun COVID-inspired dance to get you moving and grooving.
1:15 – 2:15pm: Wellness Workshop: Sitting Disease. Facilitated by Dan McDonogh. “Sitting is the new smoking.” Explore the harmful metabolic impacts of sedentary behaviours and discover tips and techniques on how to reverse.
2:30 – 3:15pm: Fitness Class: Yoga. Facilitated by Barb King. Flexibility, mobility and core strength, leaving you feeling calm and centred.
4:00 – 5:00pm: Wellness Workshop: Brain Foods & Stress Solutions. Facilitated by Lisa Trepanier. Specific food combinations can enhance or reduce brain power and stress levels. Learn how various foods affect your brain and how to put them to effective use.
