During this uncertain time where we can see changes happening quickly, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and worried. We take your health and safety extremely seriously, and we want you to feel supported during this COVID-19 pandemic. That includes your mental health. That’s why we are introducing the Employee Assistance Plan to all our Personal Support Workers and Homemakers at this time.
What is the Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)?
The Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) is a confidential service to help you through challenging times. Our provider for this service is called Morneau Shepell. The EAP staff you speak to on the phone are hired by Morneau Shepell. Circle of Care does not find out who calls this service. It is completely anonymous.

What can the EAP help me with?
The EAP can help you through the COVID-19 pandemic, including providing you with:
- Short-term Professional Counselling: Choose from a variety of delivery methods to best suit your comfort level and lifestyle including In-Person, Telephone, E-Counselling, First Chat (instant online chat with a counsellor), Video, Text-based self-paced.
- Family Support Services connects you with a Family Support Specialist for personalized assistance with parenting, childcare, eldercare, homecare support and more.
- Financial Support Services provide consultation with financial professionals to answer financial questions about budgeting, debt management, tax issues, and more.
Does the EAP cost me anything?
No, calling and using the EAP does not cost you anything. This service is being paid for by Circle of Care.
