This message is for all Personal Support and Homemakers from Dara Zarnett, VP of Operations.
I want to wish everyone a happy new year and all of the best for a happy and healthy 2021. I also want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each of you for your commitment to your clients and for all you are doing during this unique and challenging time.
With the increase of COVID-19 infections in the community, I want to reiterate the critical importance of properly wearing all of your personal protective equipment at every client visit. This means a mask, eye protection and gloves for ALL client visits, and wear a mask, eye protection, gloves and gowns for any clients who are COVID positive or on COVID caution. It is important for you to check the status of your client before your visit so you know the appropriate PPE that is required.
Wearing and disposing of your PPE is critical to keeping yourselves, your families and your clients safe from COVID-19 and is a required organization procedure. For anyone who does not follow proper PPE procedures, you will be subjected to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your Supervisor.
We are also starting to get some information about vaccinations, and will be sharing that information with you shortly.
Thank you again for everything you do!
