As the Thanksgiving weekend approaches, please keep safety in mind. While Ontario’s case counts have been declining and most of us at Circle of Care are fully vaccinated, we know the Delta variant is highly contagious. It’s still essential to follow infection prevention and control measures to keep everyone safe and minimize the risk of outbreaks.
Yesterday, Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore shared the province’s official guidance and rules for this upcoming weekend’s festivities:
- Indoor gatherings with people from outside your household are allowed this year, as long as they follow Ontario’s gathering limits (25 people indoors, and 100 people outdoors).
- With people from multiple households who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or status is unknown, you should wear a face covering and physically distance.
- Within a group of fully vaccinated individuals, face covers are no longer necessary.
- The province is asking hosts to create a list of guests attending in case the local public health unit needs it for contact tracing.
- Don’t participate in gatherings outside your household if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, even if they are mild.
