Completing Dayforce Attestations Now Possible at the Main Office

To support our PSWs and Homemakers in completing your attestations through Dayforce, our IT and Admin team have set up a PSW workstation at reception so that you can log into Dayforce and complete the attestation while you wait for your supplies. IT has created instructions on how to navigate the program and includes the Dayforce support number should you require any assistance.  These instructions are located at the PSW workstation with the laptop.  You are also able to complete your attestation from your mobile device using your Dayforce Learning App.

Upcoming CPR and Mask Fit Dates – October, November and December

Circle of Care requires that all PSWs and Homemakers be certified with valid and current CPR training, and that employees be properly fitted for N95 masks.

Upcoming sessions for both CPR and mask fit have been booked for October, November and December. Appointments must be booked through our vendor, First Aid Care, and can be booked by clicking the button below or by calling 905-272-9214

Important reminders – please read:

  • Please arrive at the training session 15 minutes before the class begins.
  • Gloves and surgical mask will be required for the duration of the class.
  • After you have booked your appointment, please speak to your Service Coordinator if you need any scheduling arrangements and have clients that you will need to be booked off from to attend the CPR training. Please try to book a date/time where you do not have client visits scheduled.
  • Your schedule will be blocked as ‘unavailable’ for you to attend the session. You do not need to use your phone to sign into the training.
  • You will be paid a total of 4 hours for the training – this will be added to your schedule 1-2 weeks after the session has been completed and you will receive payment. The code will appear on your paystub as ‘Miscellaneous’
  • You may not be able to access the login link via the PSW mobile phones, and you may need to access the link using your personal phone or computer.
  • All bookings/cancellations must be managed through the online portal. You will receive a confirmation email/text notification and will also receive a session reminder.

Flu Vaccinations: Who, When, and Where?

Everyone 6 months and older should receive a flu vaccine every season, with rare exceptions. Getting vaccinated is especially important for people who are at a higher risk of serious complications from influenza. It is recommended that most people receive a dose of an influenza vaccine at the beginning of flu season in September or October and before the end of October, before the flu begins spreading. But, getting a vaccine later can still provide protection during the peak of flu season.

Flu shots are available for free from your doctor or nurse practitioner, walk-in clinics, community health centers, participating pharmacies like Shoppers Drug Mart for example, and some public health units. Anyone who lives, works or attends school in Ontario is eligible for a free vaccine. Click the button for more information on public health units offering a flu vaccine this year

Reminder: Submit Your COVID-19 Booster Doses

Getting vaccinated and staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones and our community from COVID-19 and its variants. If you have not already done so, please consider getting your third dose (first booster) as soon as possible, and getting your fourth dose if you have already received your third dose.

As a reminder, once you have received the third dose and/or fourth dose, please submit a copy to HRDept@circleofcare.com. You will also receive an additional 1 hour of payment on an upcoming paycheque.

Prioritizing Health & Wellness For Staff

Over the past fiscal year, Circle of Care accomplished many objectives to help improve the health and well-being of staff. This includes providing full-time PSWs and Homemakers with an Extended Health Benefit and Dental Package, as well as promoting both internal and external resources to combat isolation and improve physical wellness among our staff.
