A holiday message from Carey Lucki to PSWs and Homemakers
As 2022 comes to an end, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all of you for a happy holiday season. You should be proud of all the work that you have done to help keep our clients safe and cared for in their homes. When you shared a laugh with a client, held their hand while they shared a sad story with you, or answered a question from a family member, all of those moments provided our clients and their families with an excellence in care that went beyond meeting just their physical needs.
The compassion and dedication that you have to our clients continues to inspire me and the rest of the leadership team each day. As you heat up a meal for a client, help them to take a shower, or brush their hair for them, you are helping them to maintain their independence, and allowing them the beautiful gift of having yet another day, week, month, or year of living at home.
I am incredibly proud of all the wonderful work that we have accomplished as an organization over the past year.. We have undergone a number of audits over the last year, and received fantastic results for all of them, including once more receiving Exemplary Status from Accreditation Canada and a 100% score. We moved our Adult Day Program for older adults with dementia from our long-time location at Dufferin and Steeles, up to a much larger and spacious location near Rutherford and Bathurst. And in September, we launched our new points-based recognition platform for all Circle of Care staff called Applause. (Make sure you log into Applause to redeem your special holiday gift from Circle of Care)!
I want to thank each and every one of you for everything you have done over the last year, and to once again wish you all a wonderful holiday season!
Sincerely,
Carey Lucki
