Help Us Pick Our New Supply Pick-Up Locations

The admin team is in the process of determining new pick-up locations for our PSWs & Homemakers to pick up supplies. The current UPS store location has been an incredible success, and so they are looking at other UPS store locations. Please fill out the survey below to help the team in their decision process:

Prevent Slips, Trips & Falls

Clean up spills and garbage as soon as possible.

Don’t let objects you are carrying block your view.

Close cupboards & drawers as soon as you’re done with them.

Cover up or tape down cables and wires.

Clear clutter from hallways and floors.

Wear non-slip footwear.

Upcoming Mask Fit and CPR Sessions

Circle of Care requires that all PSWs and Homemakers be certified with valid and current CPR training, and that employees be properly fitted for N95 masks.

Upcoming sessions for both CPR and mask fit have been booked for March through June. Appointments must be booked through our vendor, First Aid Care, and can be booked by calling 905-272-9214 or by clicking the button down below.

Important reminders – please read:

  • Please arrive at the training session 15 minutes before the class begins.
  • After you have booked your appointment, please speak to your Service Coordinator if you need any scheduling arrangements and have clients that you will need to be booked off from to attend the CPR and/or mask fit training. Please try to book a date/time where you do not have client visits scheduled.
  • Your schedule will be blocked as ‘unavailable’ for you to attend the session. You do not need to use your phone to sign into the training.
  • You will be paid a total of 4 hours for the training (CPR) and 1 hour for mask fit – this will be added to your schedule 1-2 weeks after the session has been completed and you will receive payment. The code will appear on your paystub as ‘Miscellaneous’
  • All bookings/cancellations must be managed through the online portal. You will receive a confirmation email/text notification and will also receive a session reminder.

We also encourage you to review our CPR Tips and Guidance by clicking the button below.

World Sleep Day

Just like eating well and exercising, sleep is a behaviour that is essential to an individual’s physical, mental, and social well-being. As we adjust to the new daylight savings time, now is a good time to be cognizant of our sleep habits. Keep in mind that three elements of good quality sleep are:

  • Duration: the length of sleep should be sufficient for the sleeper to be rested and alert the following day
  • Continuity: sleep periods should be seamless without fragmentation
  • Depth: sleep should be deep enough to be restorative

Ask Us Anything

I had regular visits scheduled during the last Mental Health sessions. Is it possible to schedule every Thursday from 13:00?

Thank you for your interest in attending future Mental Health sessions! When planning upcoming sessions, we will keep this feedback in mind and try to plan multiple dates/times so that more employees can attend.

I still cannot find the paystub. Please don’t make hard for PSW to access it! We are stressed enough.

We are sorry that you feel this way. Our intention with moving to a digital paystub was not to provide additional stress for our employees.
Here is a short video on how to find your paystub. If you are still finding it difficult, please reach out through your PSW app for assistance.

I am a full time worker but I don’t get full time hours. I would like to know why?

Without knowing your specific situation, it is difficult to know why you are not getting full-time hours. We encourage you to speak with your Service Coordinator to determine the exact cause and to ensure that they understand that you would like additional hours.

We invite you to submit your questions or feedback below. Please note that it may take us longer to provide some answers, so if you’ve asked a question that hasn’t been answered yet, we will get back to you in the coming weeks.
