How to Grow Potted Plants Indoors or Outside in Your Garden

Spring weather is here and many of us may look forward to gardening season. Giving your plants the right soil, water, light, and fertilizer is important, no matter where they’re growing, but container grown plants usually need a little more attention than the ones that grow in the ground. One of the best parts of growing potted plants is that you don’t necessarily have to worry about them surviving the winter; you can bring your favorites indoors when the temperature drops or grow them exclusively as houseplants.  For more information, click on the link below:

DEI – Recommended Resources for Learning

Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee has cultivated a list of recommended books, podcasts, and other resources to enhance your learning on DEI related topics.

If you have any recommended resources that you like to have added to the list so we can continue to share, please email Kai ksvirida@circleofcare.com

We also have a recommended webinar(1 hour in length) that can be accessed online, that focuses on DEI in healthcare:

Ask Us Anything

Can Google Translate be added to our phones to help understand our clients better?

Thank you for providing this suggestion to us! We are always open to hearing from our PSWs and Homemakers about how we can better equip you in your daily work. We have reached out with your suggestion to our IT team, and they said yes!! They completed testing on the app last week, and the app has been rolled out to PSW phones now. If you have an A13 work phone, you should either have already gotten access to the new app, or it will be added to your phone soon. You can learn more about how to use the Google Translate app here:

Why am I not getting enough hours?

Every situation is different when it comes to schedules. Without understanding your specific situation, we cannot know why it is exactly that you are not being scheduled for more hours. We strongly encourage you to reach out to your Service Coordinator, as they understand your particular schedule and can explain why you are not getting more hours (and/or can add more hours to your schedule). You can also consider adding more availability to your schedule by completing the availability request form on the PSW Portal: https://psw.circleofcare.com/index.php/psw-availability-form/
