Step Up for Seniors: Join the Fun at The Grand Parade!
Date: Sunday, September 22, 2024
Time: Parade starts at 11:00 AM (Check-in & Stretching at 10:00 AM)
Location: Downsview Park, Orchard Pavilion, Keele Street and Downsview Park Blvd. North York, Ontario
Calling all PSWs! Join our dedicated PSW team at the Toronto Grande Parade—a community event where we come together to support seniors.* It’s a great opportunity to connect, have fun, and make a difference. Let’s walk together and show our support!
This event will take place on Sunday, September 22nd at 11:00 AM, we’ll be coming together as a team and community in a fun-filled, energetic event that will feature a DJ, snacks, and photos!
It’s completely free to sign up and join the fun! Bring your families, friends, and loved ones to help us celebrate. If you’re unable to walk with us, you can still make a difference by making a donation or by helping us promote this fundraiser online. Every contribution helps!
Stay tuned for more details closer to the event date where we’ll provide detailed information including the parade map, event and route details, along with directions to our designated area in the park.

Pre-Parade Excitement
Get ready for some midweek fun! Every Wednesday, starting August 28th and leading up to the parade, we’ll be giving out exciting prizes to our standout supporters. Each week, we’ll recognize one winner in either of these two categories:
Top Fundraiser: The individual who raises the most funds that week will receive a fantastic prize!
Most Donors: The person who has gathered the highest number of donors will also be rewarded with a special prize!
So, whether you raise the most funds or gain the most supporters, you’ve got a chance to win each week. Keep up the great work, and let’s make the lead-up to the parade as thrilling as the event itself!
Day of the Parade (September 22)
Special Stretching Area: Get the day started on the right foot! At 10:00 AM, we’ll have a dedicated area where you can stretch and warm up before the parade begins. It’s the perfect way to get energized and ready to walk!
Special Parade Bracelets: At the event, each participant will receive a special bracelet to highlight and celebrate their involvement.
Live DJ: Keep the energy high with a live DJ who’ll be spinning all your favourite tunes. From classic hits to the latest tracks, the music will keep you moving and grooving all day long.
Photo Area: Capture the moment with your colleagues and friends at our designated photo area. With fun props and a Circle of Care backdrop, you’ll have a blast making memories and taking home some great keepsakes.
Food & Water Stations: Stay refreshed and fueled throughout the event with our conveniently located food and water stations. We’ve got you covered so you can focus on enjoying the day!
T-shirts: Fundraising walkers who raise $150+ (or $75+ for those under 18) will receive a TGP shirt as a thank you on Event Day, while supplies last.

Communication Materials
Weekly Zoom Meetings
To ensure everyone is well-prepared and informed, we’ll be holding weekly Zoom meetings for all participants—both leaders and walkers. You do not have to attend all of the meetings. But, if you have any questions or need more information about the parade, these meetings are the perfect opportunity to get the answers you need.
An email will be sent to you by Circle of Care’s Communications Team with a Zoom link.
Spread the Word and Get Social!
We’d love your help in amplifying the excitement for the The Grande Parade (TGP)! Show your support by organically sharing or reposting our social media updates. Feel free to post about your participation and tag us (see below for our social media channels) in every post so we can celebrate together.
To make it even easier, we’ll be sending out a TGP Communications Guidebook to all participants via email. This guide will provide you with all the details you need to stay connected, celebrate the event, and keep your social media posts in sync with Circle of Care’s official social media calendar.
Your online support will help us spread the word and make this parade a huge success!
