After five decades of extraordinary service, Ianthie (Bonnie) Blackman has retired from her role as a Personal Support Worker at Circle of Care. Reflecting on her remarkable journey, she shares, “It’s the clients—that’s why I’m still working.” Now, as she steps into retirement, Bonnie leaves behind a legacy of unwavering dedication and kindness.

Starting in the 1970s, Bonnie witnessed the organization grow from a small team on Baycrest Avenue to a leader in senior care with programs like Adult Day Program and iRIDE. Her commitment to clients, including Holocaust Survivors, and her heartfelt connections with colleagues have left an indelible mark.

Bonnie’s incredible legacy will continue to inspire us for generations.

Last year, we highlighted Bonnie’s story as part of our 50th anniversary celebrations. Read about her experience working at Circle of Care!
