Congratulations to this Week’s Champions of Care!

This program is designed to recognize employees who go above and beyond their day-to-day duties, and who exemplify Circle of Care’s values.

Note: New nominations will be posted on Mondays.

Nominations can be submitted in one of two ways:

  • Clients/Family Members: Compliments from clients or family members that are received through the call centre or a manager will be entered as a nomination provided there is enough detail to do so.
  • Managers: A manager can recognize someone for one of the following reasons:
  1. Recognizing that an employee has taken initiative to support, assist or lead a project or difficult task.
  2. The employee has made an extra effort was reflected in their overall performance.
  3. The person has actively demonstrated one of Circle of Care’s values.
  • “I have been feeling so relieved the past week. All of the workers that have come in have been spectacular, lovely people. It has only been less than a week that we have been receiving services from Circle of Care, but I feel more at ease than with my previous service provider. My spouse is also really grateful for the service and feels supported by the workers and by Josie Medranda, our Service Coordinator.” – Client
  • Mendel Janowski has done an exceptional job managing the LTC redeployment with our NYGH OHT and LHIN partners. He has helped fill staffing needs for different congregate settings who required additional staffing resulting from Covid-19, ensuring that patients get the supports needed. Thanks Mendel!” – Dara Zarnett
  • “iRIDE driver Michael Rutherford reported that one of his clients that he was transporting was without her Personal Support Worker. This woman could not get into the vehicle on her own. Needless to say, Michael became her PSW. The client did not know where she was going and Michael asked to reach in her purse to find which doctor she had an appointment with. He even walked her into the hospital and to her doctor. Thank you Michael for going above the call of duty. It is very appreciated!” – Claudio Gasparini
  • “Social Worker Elinor Gal has a remarkable work ethic and goes above and beyond her job responsibilities. Elinor provided me with much needed emotional support and resources during the very difficult time I was going through. She was providing me with direction and advice, and was always ready to listen to my stories. She is a very knowledgeable and empathetic professional who deserves to be recognized! I had a chance to work with other health professionals, but she is the best!” – Client
