Congratulations to this week’s Champions of Care nominees:
- “I cannot think of words enough to express my thanks to Charlotte Koven and Janet Chippin. The Bereavement Support Group is a much needed group and I am so grateful to Janet for suggesting it, and to Charlotte for her caring before the group and for accepting me into it. Being part of this group has without doubt helped me on this journey. As a counsellor I dealt with a lot of grief, but as a person on the other side I truly did not realize how much the support of wise ears and caring people can make a difference. Charlotte helped me feel validated in my sadness, gave strategies and techniques to cope that were meaningful and helpful, and provided an accepting space where we were all able to express ourselves authentically and without feeling judged. I am so grateful. The fact that this group is offered on Zoom during tough and isolating times is a blessing. Thank you for that too. I am sure it is more challenging when we are not face-to-face, and the organization beforehand is also increased. I cannot say enough what a wonderful program this is. I learned so much, and have better ways to hold the sadness now.” – Client
- “I have received numerous compliments regarding the excellent care Amin Rajani provides as a service coordinator. Amin is known for his calm tone and is appreciated by clients and PSWs for being an excellent problem solver, great communicator and listener. His ability to listen creates an environment where people feel respected and are empowered to help each other.” – Muna Sheerin
- “Charlotte Pape provides outstanding support to the Holocaust Survivor Services Program and recently assisted with our 2020 and 2021 service letter process. This support has enabled us to meet our timelines and ensure compliance for the Holocaust Survivor Services Program to meet our yearly goals. Thank you Charlotte for your continued support, it is much appreciated!” – Rachel Quinby
