The Canadian Mental Health Association has declared this week as Mental Health week and this year’s theme focuses on getting real about how you feel.
Even in times of extreme anxiety and stress, mental health is something we can strive to protect. During this week, challenge yourself to focus on how naming, expressing and dealing with your emotions is important for your mental health. Those heavy feelings can lighten when you put the feeling into words. When we become more comfortable voicing our emotions, the heaviness can start to go away.
Make an effort this week to check in on your mental health and better understand how you can support and improve it.
