Circle of Care requires that all PSWs and Homemakers be certified with valid and current CPR training.
Who needs to sign up for these CPR training sessions?
Anyone who has an expired CPR certification should sign up for a session.
When are sessions being held?
CPR sessions will be running on March 21 & 23, and April 12 & 14, 2022.
How do I book a session?
Sessions can be booked online here: http://register.firstaidcare.ca/ or by calling 1-888-460-5999 requesting an appointment slot.
If you choose to book online, once you reach the home page using the link above, please click ‘Register Here’ under CPR-Level C. (You may not be able to access the login link via the PSW mobile phones, and you may need to access the link using your personal phone or computer.)
All bookings/cancellations must be managed through the online portal. You will receive a confirmation email/text notification and will also receive a session reminder. If you have any questions about your appointment, please call 1-888-460-5999.
What about my work schedule?
After you have booked your appointment, please speak to your Service Coordinator if you need any scheduling arrangements and have clients that you will need to be booked off from to attend the CPR training.
Your schedule will be blocked as ‘unavailable’ for you to attend the session. You do not need to use your phone to sign into the training.
Where are sessions being held?
CPR classes are currently being offered in person at 2677 Kennedy Rd #14, Scarborough. Please arrive at the training session 15 minutes before the class begins.
What PPE do I need to wear during the class?
Gloves and surgical mask will be required for the duration of the class.
Will I get paid for the training?
You will be paid a total of 4 hours for the training – this will be added to your schedule 1-2 weeks after the session has been completed and you will receive payment. The code will appear on your paystub as ‘Miscellaneous.’
What should I do if the sessions are full?
Please note that we have limited appointment slots due to physical distancing restrictions related to COVID-19. As additional sessions are booked for future dates, you will be informed so that you can register. In the meantime, you can review our CPR Tips and Guidance.
