Updates to PPE Supply Ordering
Effective November 11, 2024 there will be several changes to the process for ordering supplies. Please review the following updates carefully.
App Update
On November 11, 2024 please log out and log back into the app to view the latest updates related to supply ordering.
Continued Universal Masking Protocols
Universal masking protocols remain in place. A well-fitted surgical mask must be worn during all close client interactions to ensure the safety of both our staff and clients.
N95 Respirator Use
N95 Respirators are only necessary for clients with known transmissible diseases that require airborne precautions or during aerosol-generating medical procedures.
Point of Care Risk Assessment and Acute Infectious Disease Screener
- Point of Care Risk Assessment (PCRA) must be performed by PSWs before every client interaction to identify the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure both their own safety and the safety of the client. This routine assessment helps identify potential risks and determine what measures are needed to prevent the spread of infections.
- Acute Infectious Disease (AID) Screener: PSWs should complete this Screener prior to client visits on the Mobile App. It’s in place to help you proactively identify signs and symptoms of Infectious Diseases and determine necessary PPE by asking four key questions.
Education on both PCRA and AID Screener will be shared on the PSW portal and Inside the Circle.
