Circle of Care is committed to the prevention of workplace violence and harassment, and continues to strive to ensure our work environment is safe for all employees. Our Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) has determined that the hazard of workplace violence and harassment is ‘medium risk’ for our community employees, and as such, has created an annual training, risk assessment and communication campaign to increase awareness of these hazards and to promote employee safety and well-being.

All employees have been enrolled into an e-learning course through Dayforce that focuses on Workplace Violence and Harassment. We would ask that all employees complete this mandatory e-learning module by February 5, 2025.  All employees that complete the mandatory e-learning will receive 30 minutes of paid training time (which will be paid out in March).

We would like to remind all employees, that any act of violence committed by or against anyone is unacceptable conduct that will not be tolerated.  Every effort has been made to identify possible sources of violence and to implement procedures to control the risks. No employee, volunteer, or any other individual associated with Circle of Care shall subject any other person to workplace violence or allow or create situations that allow workplace violence to occur.  Everyone is expected to uphold this policy and to work together to prevent workplace violence.
