Earth Day: 5 Easy Ways to Be More Sustainable at Work

April 22nd marks Earth Day, a global event dedicated to environmental awareness and action. At Circle of Care, we believe that sustainability starts with each of us. This year, we are focusing on simple ways to reduce our carbon footprint at work and beyond.
5 Easy Ways to Be More Sustainable at Work
- Use reusable mugs, bottles, and utensils.
- Print less—go digital whenever possible.
- Turn off lights and electronics when leaving a room.
- Reduce waste by bringing a packed lunch in reusable containers.
- Support eco-friendly brands and initiatives.
We want to encourage all PSWs to do your part in keeping our communities clean and green. While you’re out in the community visiting clients, take a moment to pick up any litter you may come across. Every small action makes a difference, and by disposing of trash in the nearest bin, you’re helping to create a cleaner environment for everyone!
Let’s make Earth Day special by contributing to a cleaner, healthier community. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to both our clients and the planet!

Choosing the Right Footwear for Work

- Water-resistant footwear for wet environments.
- No sandals, high heels, or shoes with holes in direct client areas.

Trouble Falling Asleep?
Ask Us Anything
If you have concerns about a client/situation or questions about your role, we encourage you to contact your Client Services Supervisor.
I would like to know why the PSW meetings we have do not have a management representative or are they just refreshing course meetings. Sometimes we have issues to raise which our coordinators and CSS have failed to help with. If we try to escalate to HR we are called snitches. I’m requesting for a management staff to attend one of these meetings.
Client Services Managers try to attend as many PSW team meetings as they can for into their schedules. If you raise issues with your coordinator or CSS and are not satisfied with their response, you may contact one of the managers directly by phone:
Anna Kornits – ext. 114
Jennifer Hawkins – ext. 367
Why did you stop providing shoe coverings?
Shoe covers were removed from the list of PPE items as they are not a mandatory PPE requirement. Shoe covers will only be provided based on approval from your CSS for infestation purposes. As per our Dress Code policy, you should be wearing appropriate footwear while you are in your client’s home, which means you may be required to have a change of shoes for indoor use. You should never work barefoot or in only socks/stockings.

Please note that it may take us longer to provide some answers. If your question hasn’t been answered yet, we will get back to you as soon as we can.
