Hand Hygiene: How to Clean Your Hands
Follow these steps when you wash your hands to keep you and your clients safe:
- Wet your hands with water.
- Put soap on your hands.
- Rub your hands together (palm to palm).
- Rub the back of one hand with the other hand. Switch hands.
- Rub between your fingers.
- Rub the backs of your fingers on your palms.
- Clean your thumbs — hold one thumb and rub in circles. Switch thumbs.
- Rinse your hands with water.
- Dry your hands with a clean paper towel.
More Tips for Clean Hands
- Keep nails short and clean.
- Make sure nail polish is not broken or chipped.
- Do not wear fake nails.
- Try not to wear rings.
- Remove watches and bracelets, or move them above your wrist before washing your hands.

Registration is still open for our Annual Party, which will be taking place on June 24! We will have dinner and a large area to chat and connect with your colleagues. We’ll also have a live DJ with music and exciting prizes to win. You’re encouraged to dress up for the summer weather!

We have a limited number of tickets available for this event. Please make sure you register by Wednesday, June 17 to secure your spot. Everyone must register for their own ticket and tickets cannot be given to someone else. If you have RSVPed but find you are unable to attend, please contact Moon at mphan@circleofcare.com to cancel your ticket, freeing up space for others.

Taste of Little Italy
- When: June 10-14, 2026
- Details: College St. between Bathurst St. and Shaw St. will be closed.
FIFA World Cup
- When: June 12-July 2, 2026
- Details: The FIFA World Cup will take place in Toronto for these dates, around the BMO fields at Exhibition Place, Lakeshore, Gardiner, and the Downtown Core. Expect spillover congestion and traffic into King and Queen St., as well as in the Downtown West area. (Look below for specific game days.)

- Wednesday, June 17 – 7 p.m.
- Saturday, June 20 – 4 p.m.

World Cup Fan Festival (Downtown Viewing Zone)
- When: June 11-July 19, 2026
- Details: Expect local road closures, crowds, and busy TTC subways, streetcars, and buses in the Downtown Core. Cars may not be allowed in certain zones, so plan alternative routes in case. (10k-20k person crowds per day.)
NXNE Music Festival
- When: June 12-14, 2026
- Details: Expect extra traffic around various locations around Queen Street West (South), Dupont St (North), Lansdowne Ave (West), and Church St (East).
Reminder: Complete Body Safety Training in Dayforce
Please log into Dayforce and complete your Musculoskeletal Disorder Prevention (body safety) training by June 30.
- Where: Dayforce Learning App (on your phone)
- Time: 30 minutes (you will be paid if completed by June 30, 2026)
This training helps keep you safe at work and prevent injuries. Thank you for your commitment to workplace safety.

Hot weather is starting. Too much heat can make you sick. It can cause dehydration, heat exhaustion, or heat stroke.
Tips for Hot Weather
- Drink water often, even if you are not thirsty.
- Try not to do hard work outside in the hottest part of the day (midday).
- Wear light and loose clothing.
- Check on seniors, neighbours, friends, and others who may need help.
Need a place to cool down? Find a cool space near you, including libraries, community centres, pools, and more.
