Champions of Care
Congratulations to this week’s Champions of Care nominees:
“While working the late shift, we had a worker who called with car troubles, and couldn’t see her last client of the night. The client’s visit was within an hour from the time she called. Before we had a chance to open the client’s file, Yulia Ioffe had already called a replacement worker and scheduled her for the visit. The worker Yulia called signed out of her previous client at 7:53pm, Yulia placed the visit at 7:57pm, and the worker was in there providing service before 8pm! It was record breaking time!” – Victoria Digiovanni & Jessica Collins
“Thank you to Valentina Burman and Gladys Santa Ana. They were working a PM shift and at the very end of their shift they received a sick call from PSW, who was working in a new cluster building in York region. Despite not having too many options, having difficulties to reach PSWs, they successfully found the solution and placed all Interval Care clients. Thank you, ladies for your hard work and efforts.” – Irene Shapiro
“I want to show an appreciation to my team colleagues Jessica Collins and Sahra Ali for their assistance. Recently, I was given a task that I was not familiar with. Despite of everybody being very busy both ladies took their time to remote to my computer and step by step patiently advised on how to resolve this. Eventually, the task was completed on time. Once again thank you for the wonderful team work.” – Irene Shapiro
Wellness at Work
Monitor Your Blood Sugars
Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is important for both diabetes prevention and management. Testing your blood sugar levels will let you know if your levels are on target, and will inform your decisions on activity and food so that you can have a higher quality of life.

Ask Us Anything
Thank you to those who submitted your questions to us. Here are some of the questions we received, along with answers:
I’m having issues with my phone, it freezes on me. What should I do?
Please try turning your phone off, and then back on. Sometimes this will fix the problem. If your problem is still not fixed after doing this, please click on the support button in your app to receive help.
I want more hours of work. What should I do?
If you are looking for more hours of work, contact your Service Coordinator to let them know. We also recommend that you consider either increasing your availability (providing us with more times that you can work), or increasing the geographic area that you are willing to work in. Either of these changes can make it much easier for you to be assigned more hours.
Can you provide us with information in other languages other than English?
While speaking and understanding English is a requirement of your employment with Circle of Care, we understand that for some, reading English can be harder than speaking or understanding the language. We are taking your suggestion into account, and hope to provide more information about our translation project efforts in 2022.
*Please note that it may take us longer to provide some answers, so if you’ve asked a question that isn’t listed above, we will answer it in the coming weeks.*
