Champions of Care
Congratulations to this week’s Champions of Care nominees:
- “I wanted to thank Sheree Roberts for being amazing, and very supportive towards my wife (client) and myself during the end of her life. Sheree gave amazing care and support.” – Client’s husband
- “In 2021 Circle of Care hired 115 new PSW and Homemakers. Thank you Jianne Paulino for your contribution to hiring and onboarding! Your care and support for our new hires ensures they have a positive entry experience with the organization. Thank you for challenging yourself to pivot, remain flexible and grow new skills in your first year with the team. Your efforts are appreciated by the Circle of Care team and the candidates you support. Congratulations and well done!” – Allison Kujbida
- “PSW Marie Jacobe has been with me over a year and I couldn’t be more pleased with her. She has a great attitude and always willing whatever I ask of her. She goes above and beyond. Ask Us Anything
I know someone who has finished the academic requirements for becoming a PSW, but now due to COVID, her exam has been delayed. Can she apply as PSW while waiting for her exam?
Unfortunately, we cannot proceed with the PSW assessment process for any applicants until they can provide proof of completion of required education. That being said, she is welcome to apply to work with us as a Homemaker until she receives her PSW certificate.
How many e-learning modules do I have to submit to be paid?
Submissions and completions of our e-learning modules are tracked weekly, but we suggest waiting 1 month to see this payment appear in your account, as pay periods can impact the pay stub that the module appears on.

We invite you to submit your questions below. Please note that it may take us longer to provide some answers, so if you’ve asked a question that hasn’t been answered yet, we will get back to you in the coming weeks.
In case you missed it...
North York Clinic Providing PCR Tests for Staff
The North York Cough, Cold and COVID Test Clinic is available to provide PCR testing for Circle of Care staff. Our HR team will inform you if you need to book a PCR test.
Can You Mix Pfizer and Moderna?
While booster shots are not mandatory, we strongly encourage all our staff to receive booster doses of the COVID vaccine to provide the strongest protection against the Omicron variant. Currently, there is a shortage of Pfizer vaccines in Canada, and as a result, most people over 30 are being offered Moderna only. We are publishing the information below to help you understand why mixed doses have been approved, and what type of protection you can expect after receiving a mixed dose.
If you have received a booster dose, you can download your updated vaccine certificate with official QR code or visit https://covid-19.ontario.ca/get-proof/ to learn how to get your enhanced vaccine certificate. Make sure to save and submit your proof of vaccination to HRDept@circleofcare.com. Once you have submitted your booster information, you will receive an additional 1 hour of paid time. This will be added to an upcoming pay with the code ‘vaccine payout’.
