December 20, 2019

Hello everyone,

As 2019 comes to a close, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all of you for a happy holiday season.

This past year was an exciting one, and we have so much to show for it! Not only did we meet the needs of our 16,000+ clients and their families, but we also worked behind the scenes on a number of initiatives that are paving the way to better and more connected care.

Together we have:

  • Redesigned processes and created clinical tools to overcome some of our operational challenges;
  • Rolled out even more features in technology and mobile apps to improve efficiency and enhance safety;
  • Expanded many of our programs to have even greater impact within the community;
  • Forged valuable partnerships (i.e., Ontario Health Teams) that are in line with the province’s focus on health care reform;
  • Successfully met the requirements of seven (planned and unplanned) audit visits;
  • And, throughout, we honed our skill-sets with training, education and professional development in the name of continuous improvement.

I am so proud of the tremendous amount of work we have accomplished this year, and I am grateful for the professionalism and enthusiasm you brought with you to work, each and every day.

As we look toward the year ahead, we will continue to focus on supporting the health of our community and advocate for the value our people and services bring to the table. I hope you find time at some point over the coming weeks to relax and reflect on the impact your work makes in the lives of others. Whether you work on the frontline, dealing directly with clients and families, or you play a supporting role, ensuring our day-to-day operations run smoothly, please know that your contribution and commitment to Circle of Care is deeply valued.

Happy Holidays and all the very best for a wonderful New Year.

Warmly,

Carey
