Congratulations to this Week’s Champions of Care!

This program is designed to recognize employees who go above and beyond their day-to-day duties, and who exemplify Circle of Care’s values.

Note: New nominations will be posted on Mondays.

Nominations can be submitted in one of two ways:

  • Clients/Family Members: Compliments from clients or family members that are received through the call centre or a manager will be entered as a nomination provided there is enough detail to do so.
  • Managers: A manager can recognize someone for one of the following reasons:
  1. Recognizing that an employee has taken initiative to support, assist or lead a project or difficult task.
  2. The employee has made an extra effort was reflected in their overall performance.
  3. The person has actively demonstrated one of Circle of Care’s values.

Congratulations to this week’s Champions of Care nominees:

  • “The exercise classes are so outstanding. I do the classes every day, or almost every day. These classes are such a gift, especially during the pandemic, and I want to say thank you to Laura Tichonchuk for organizing these classes. Thank you, thank you, and stay safe everyone.” – Client
  • “I first came across Claudio Gasparini when I called Circle of Care the first time and needed a lot of questions answered. Claudio returned my call and was very patient and completely understood all my concerns and questions. Since then I have had many conversations with Claudio and I consider him a friend and I really like him.” – iRIDE client
  • “Today was the second time Soula Berdoussis was my driver and when she drove up to my place I was so happy to see her. The first time we really hit it off and just started to talk and today it was just like we carried on.” – iRIDE client
  • “On behalf of my siblings, I want to recognize PSW Analyn Obeda for her fabulous care of our mother. We are all working full-time, and so knowing that Analyn is there with her is a huge blessing and relief. What makes Analyn so special is her wonderful spirit, her great humour, her intelligence and perceptiveness, and her amazing initiative. Analyn is an incredibly hard worker and she thinks of things that need to be done to support our mother before any of us–and immediately sets to work on whatever task she has identified as important for our mother’s care!” – Client’s daughter
  • • “I am writing to you about my PSW, Analyn Obeda. I don’t have enough words to express to you at Circle of Care and CCAC my appreciation for arranging Analyn to help me stay in my own home. The aging process is not easy and although I am experiencing some anxiety and vulnerability, I still prefer to be at home and Analyn helps to make this possible. Analyn is bright, cheerful and thoughtful and treats me with great respect. She helps me in many ways. For example, she helps me to prepare my dinner and oversees my showers. My balance is deteriorating and Analyn is aware of this. She watches and supports me very carefully when I go for a walk or when I use the stairs. Analyn is fastidious about her own cleanliness and appearance and she comes into my home like a shining light and is always ready to help me in any way. I thank you once again for your help in making my life easier with the assistance of my kind and caring Analyn.” – Client
