Can you build a plate with all 5 colours?
March is Nutrition Month, and we’re inviting you to take on the 5-Colour Plate Challenge! Adding a variety of colours to your plate is a simple way to support balanced nutrition and overall well-being. It can be fun and creative too.
How to Join:
1. Create a meal, snack, or drink that includes all five colour groups:
- Red or Pink
- Orange or Yellow
- Green
- Blue or Purple
- White
It can be breakfast, lunch, dinner, a snack plate, or even a smoothie.
2. Snap a photo of your colourful creation and include a short description of what’s on your plate. Email your photo and description to HRDept@circleofcare.com by March 31 to enter.
Everyone who participates will be entered into a raffle draw to win one of two $50 Walmart gift cards!

Tips to Support Clients with Dementia
Communication can be difficult for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia because they have problems with memory. They may forget things easily. They can also feel nervous, upset, or sometimes angry.
Some types of dementia affect language. A person may have trouble finding the right words or may have difficulty speaking clearly.
You might feel frustrated or impatient, but it is important to remember that the disease causes these changes in communication.

How can I get shifts in other areas if I am available and can commute?
Each PSW is assigned to a geographical area based on Circle of Care alignment distribution. If you are looking to expand this, you can notify your Service Coordinator that you are available to see clients in surrounding areas. Your Service Coordinator would then notify the Service Coordinators in those areas, who will assign you visits based on availability needs.
I was wondering where my gift card is. While most have received it, how come I haven’t receive it yet?
Please reach out to the HR team to find out about your specific situation. You can reach them at HRdept@circleofcare.com.
Why do you remove my regular client visits when they fall on statutory holidays? I’ve been working for Circle of Care for almost 11 years now and you’ve never change my schedule before, only this time. And why have you removed the regular clients I’ve had for more than 4-5 years and given me new clients?
We cannot speak to your specific situation, as your question was submitted anonymously. We suggest that you reach out to your Service Coordinator and speak with them directly about your questions and concerns. Circle of Care does not have any process or practice in place regarding stat holidays where some less priority clients are removed unless we have a major event like inclement weather, in which case we would have to prioritize essential vs non essential clients only for those specific days.
Have a question? Submit your questions or feedback anonymously below!
Please note that it may take us longer to provide some answers. If your question hasn’t been answered yet, we will get back to you as soon as we can.
