Ask Us Anything
We invite you to submit your questions or feedback below. Please note that it may take us longer to provide some answers, so if you’ve asked a question that hasn’t been answered yet, we will get back to you in the coming weeks.
If you work part-time are you eligible for holiday pay if you work on a holiday?
Yes, anyone working on the actual stat day is entitled to overtime at 1.5. So if you worked yesterday, Monday Sept 4th, you would get your hours paid at 1.5 times your regular hourly wage.
We appreciate that Circle of Care is committed to protecting and promoting psychological well-being and employee safety. In case we need to seek out a registered psychologist or a registered psychotherapist, do we have them available to us? If a coworker of ours is experiencing symptoms of burnout it would be nice to be able to refer them a registered psychologist to get proper evidenced-based support for their well-being.
There are several mental health resources (including counsellors and psychologists), that are available, and that we recommend to our PSWs. These include Wellness Together Canada and CAMH. With Wellness Together Canada, you can contact a counsellor directly at 1-866-585-0445. With CAMH, you can self-register for psychotherapy and psychiatric services.

Thank you for looking out for your co-workers, and don’t hesitate to refer anyone else that may be struggling to these supports, or a member of our HR team.
