Congratulations to the Champions of Care Nominees for April!
This program is designed to recognize employees who go above and beyond their day-to-day duties, and who exemplify Circle of Care’s values.
Nominations can be submitted in one of two ways:
- Clients/Family Members: Compliments from clients or family members that are received through the call centre or a manager will be entered as a nomination provided there is enough detail to do so.
- Managers: A manager can recognize someone for one of the following reasons:
- Recognizing that an employee has taken initiative to support, assist or lead a project or difficult task.
- The employee has made an extra effort was reflected in their overall performance.
- The person has actively demonstrated one of Circle of Care’s values.
Congratulations to the PSW Champions of Care nominees for April 2021:
- “A couple of weeks ago, PSW Susan Olanio started to come to our house to stay with my daughter. Susan is kind, warm and very patient. She tries her best to communicate with my daughter, who is non verbal and they are becoming good friends! Thank you for your attention in finding people who truly care for our children.” – Client’s mother
- “PSW Esseater Cassis always goes above and beyond for all her clients. She receives thank you messages from clients almost daily. Esseater is especially appreciated by one of her clients for her kindness, patience and observation skills. It is as a result of her observation that her client was able to identify a cancerous growth, and the client’s family wanted to express their immense gratitude. Thank you Esseater for being the eyes, the ears, the hands and the voice of one of the most frail and vulnerable sectors of our society.” – Muna Sheerin
- “I’d like to say how we appreciate PSW Marie Jacobe, who is looking after my mom, she’s a nice hard worker, very dedicated, caring and responsible, we’re so lucky to have her, she looks after my mom the same way she would look after her own mother. Thank you for sending her to us.” – Client’s daughter
- “I want to thank PSW Sally Casimiro for all her kindness and help to my parents. My dad and my mom are really happy with her and I really appreciate with all her help and that she calls me to report any new findings so I can follow up with my parents in a timely manner.” – Client’s family
- “My family and I are very grateful for the home care provided every morning for my husband. The workers were very caring, thorough and pleasant. My husband was so pleased with the help provided by PSW Sergey Griganov, and we all were hoping to have Sergey return as his worker when my husband came home from the hospital. He was so much looking forward to returning home to his family, and to dear Sergey. Unfortunately, he was not able to come home, and spent the last 6 weeks of his life in the hospital. We are indebted to Sergey and the other workers who came to care for him prior to his hospital admission – they were all good, but Sergey was such a gentleman.” – Client’s wife
