Mental Health Week is an important annual event that encourages people from all walks of life to learn, talk, reflect and engage with others on all issues related to mental health. Mental health can affect everyone, regardless of social, occupational, or economic status. Further, 20% of Canadians will experience mental illness in their lifetime.

The theme of this year’s Mental Health Week campaign is #MyStory. Storytelling is a fundamental part of being human. Stories help us build connections and strong communities. Storytelling supports mental health and reduces stigma. Through the week, resources and stories will be shared via the Canadian Mental Health Association:

Upcoming Webinar – Mental Health Week
Mental Health Week is celebrated from May 1-7, and this webinar will focus on the importance of mental health. The webinar will also focusing on understanding, recognizing and coping with key mental health conditions that are prominent in the health care sector, such as burnout, secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue and moral injury.

 10 Minute Mindfulness – Dayforce e-Learning
Mindfulness is a state of mind that helps you co-exist with the chaos of everyday life. All employees have been enrolled in an optional learning course, that focuses on mindfulness. Employees will have ongoing access to this module in their Dayforce library. The module takes 10 minutes to complete.
